Baby Shower!

On December 9th, some of my best friends (Alex, Alli, and April) threw me a baby shower! We had a great turn out not to mention a great time! I am a little over 30 weeks in the pictures so that counts as my '30 wk baby bump' post! :0)

Guard dog! Enter at your own risk!

We have noticed lately that if you go into the baby's room Sampson is right on your heels! Every picture you take in her room he has to stand there and protect the goods! I guess he is going to be a good big brother after all! Or least we hope!

Gifts!!

Our little one already has so many people that love her! Thank you everyone...we are so blessed!

26 weeks!

Had a MD visit today and had to drink that yummy...sarcasm...lemon-lime sugar drink to check if I have gestational diabetes! We took the blood test and...we PASSED! Thank goodness! Heart rate was 142...everything sounded good and I measured right on time! I have only gained 10 pounds thus far but feel like a whale! I feel like I should way a whole lot more because I feel like I eat all the time and my tummy keeps protuding! I know I have a ways to go yet though!  Our next appointment is at 30 weeks...time has flown by so fast! Ready for this little chica to get here!

We had a Gender Reveal Party and... It's a GIRL!!

Andy and I hosted a Gender Reveal Party for Baby Beil!  We enjoyed a potluck with the family and then it was on to dessert...pink or blue stuffed cupcakes!! It was quite a hoot! We had our family dress in pink or blue to cast their vote on the sex of the baby. We then circled around and all bit into the cupcakes, and inside was...pink frosting! The PINK team won!! Sorry Andy...your wife can even beat you in guessing the sex of babies!! :o)

Andy and I are thrilled to announce that our little one no longer has to be called baby or "it" anymore! Can't wait til February!

Below are pictures from our fun-filled night!!

Are they pink or blue inside???
Pink and Blue CRAZY!!
Hand-made Pink and Blue Pretzel Rods!
What's a party without take home goodies!
PINK TEAM!! ("God"mom-Tammy, Grandma M, Friend-Alex, Cousin Grace (can you tell she is super excited!), and Me!

 Cheers!
We are thinking..."what did we get ourselves in to!!" The cupcakes were pink inside!! It's a GIRL!!

22 Week Ultrasound!

Andy and I went to the MD today to have our "BIG" ultrasound done! This ultrasound is well known to everyone as "did you find out what you are having" ultrasound. To Andy's dismay we did NOT find out the sex of the baby this morning. He will just have to wait a tid bit longer!!
We did find out some of our baby's characteristics though:
1. Stubborn: During the unltrasound the baby's spine was facing outward, which doesn't make for very good pictures...unless you want to show everyone your new baby's "back side"!! So, the sonographer used the head of the ultrasound probe to try and "thump" baby into a better position.  Even with the constant banging on mommy's stomach the baby didn't even budge. I wonder where it gets this trait from??!!
2. Sleepy: The ultrasound takes quite a while to record all the measurements and see everything that needs to be seen...this gave us plenty of time to see the baby "yawn" numerous times. Good to see that we weren't impeding on nap time too much!! :o) I think baby has daddy's sleeping habits...or I hope so at least!!
3. Remains "cool" under pressure: Even with the constant thumping going on, baby's heart rate stayed a cool 148. Some kiddos HRs can get up past 160! I think baby gets this from mommy!! Daddy will definitely disagree on this one!
4. Good Eater: Baby likes them "big gulps"!! Saw the baby swallow several times! Atleast we know he or she will fit well into this family of hungry, hungry hippos!!

Everything else checked out wonderfully!! Baby is in the 60th percentile for weight/ height/ development. Dr. Martin even said the word..."PERFECT"...music to a mommy's ears!!

Our next appointment is Nov. 17th when I have to do my glucose tolerance test by drinking "glucola". A sugary, syrup "pop" that helps detect if I have developed gestational diabetes. Pray everything will go well!! I don't want to have to drink that stuff more than I have to!!

There is really nothing else to report, as I have thankfully had an uneventful pregnancy thus far!! Each week seems to run by and before you know it we will have a newborn!! YIKES!! :o)

Our crib is HERE!!

Andy and I picked up our new crib today after church! We of course put it together as soon as we got home! We ordered a new mattress that 1 side is for a toddler and 1 side is for an infant...I didn't know they made such things! It is truly crazy how much we are going to learn on this new journey...

SURPRISE....I'm Pregnant!!

Hi everyone!! Andy and I are proud to announce that WE are pregnant! I think Andy is fitting well into the roll as he "sympathy" eats with me every couple of hours because "we" are STARVING!!  hehe! Everything is going fabulously thus far! I'll give you the background info:

We found out we were pregnant  around Father's day this year..fitting right?! So that puts me at around 12 weeks as of now. Almost through my first trimester..whoo hoo! No morning sickness or anything, so I can't complain too much. I am excited to be finally getting a little pregnancy belly, so I don't just feel "bloated" looking anymore. Our OB/GYN is Dr. Martin and he is FABULOUS! Funny thing: on our first appointment Andy and Dr. Martin were wearing the same colored green polos and dark pants! Too funny! To top it off Dr. Martin even told Andy, "nice hair cut"...due to them both having nearly bald shaved heads! I think my husband and our MD will get along fabulously together!! :o)

I will keep you updated as much as possible during our journey into parenthood. I am also in my last semester of nursing school so I will try my hardest to keep things pretty up-to-date.
