Andy and I hosted a Gender Reveal Party for Baby Beil! We enjoyed a potluck with the family and then it was on to dessert...pink or blue stuffed cupcakes!! It was quite a hoot! We had our family dress in pink or blue to cast their vote on the sex of the baby. We then circled around and all bit into the cupcakes, and inside was...pink frosting! The PINK team won!! Sorry Andy...your wife can even beat you in guessing the sex of babies!! :o)
Andy and I are thrilled to announce that our little one no longer has to be called baby or "it" anymore! Can't wait til February!
Below are pictures from our fun-filled night!!
Are they pink or blue inside???
Pink and Blue CRAZY!!
Hand-made Pink and Blue Pretzel Rods!

22 Week Ultrasound!
Andy and I went to the MD today to have our "BIG" ultrasound done! This ultrasound is well known to everyone as "did you find out what you are having" ultrasound. To Andy's dismay we did NOT find out the sex of the baby this morning. He will just have to wait a tid bit longer!!
We did find out some of our baby's characteristics though:
1. Stubborn: During the unltrasound the baby's spine was facing outward, which doesn't make for very good pictures...unless you want to show everyone your new baby's "back side"!! So, the sonographer used the head of the ultrasound probe to try and "thump" baby into a better position. Even with the constant banging on mommy's stomach the baby didn't even budge. I wonder where it gets this trait from??!!
2. Sleepy: The ultrasound takes quite a while to record all the measurements and see everything that needs to be seen...this gave us plenty of time to see the baby "yawn" numerous times. Good to see that we weren't impeding on nap time too much!! :o) I think baby has daddy's sleeping habits...or I hope so at least!!
3. Remains "cool" under pressure: Even with the constant thumping going on, baby's heart rate stayed a cool 148. Some kiddos HRs can get up past 160! I think baby gets this from mommy!! Daddy will definitely disagree on this one!
4. Good Eater: Baby likes them "big gulps"!! Saw the baby swallow several times! Atleast we know he or she will fit well into this family of hungry, hungry hippos!!
Everything else checked out wonderfully!! Baby is in the 60th percentile for weight/ height/ development. Dr. Martin even said the word..."PERFECT"...music to a mommy's ears!!
Our next appointment is Nov. 17th when I have to do my glucose tolerance test by drinking "glucola". A sugary, syrup "pop" that helps detect if I have developed gestational diabetes. Pray everything will go well!! I don't want to have to drink that stuff more than I have to!!
There is really nothing else to report, as I have thankfully had an uneventful pregnancy thus far!! Each week seems to run by and before you know it we will have a newborn!! YIKES!! :o)
